Osmium(II), Rhodium(I), Rhodium(III), Iridium(III), Palladium(II), Platin(II), Kupfer(I), Silber(I) und
Gold(I) mit jeweils unterschiedlicher weiterer Koordinationsumgebung erhalten.
- This thesis was focused on the synthesis of multimetallic complexes based on the
(η5-cyclopentadienyl)(η6-phenyl)iron(II) moiety. In this context, either a phosphine functionality or
various imidazole-based N-Heterocyclic carbenes served as structural motifs for binding transition
metals. Moreover, these novel ligands were investigated for their electronic and steric properties.
Multimetallic complexes featuring the catalytically relevant metal centers ruthenium(II), osmium(II),
rhodium(I), rhodium(III), iridium(III), palladium(II), platinum(II), copper(I), silver(I), and gold(I) were
obtained with different coordination environment. This variety of novel multimetallic compounds was
subsequently investigated in the field of homogeneous catalysis. The research was carried out with
special regard to possible cooperative effects of the metal centers among each other in the context of
the Collaborative Research Center TRR 88 "3MET".
